COURSE DESCRIPTION & OVERALL GOAL

In commemoration of World TB Day, this conference will address TB prevention and control efforts in New York City to highlight progress in the fight against TB. Topics will include a review of local epidemiology, new diagnostic and treatment recommendations, and strategies for patient-centered care, and TB elimination.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This conference is open to physicians, nurses, epidemiologists and other health care workers who manage patients at risk for or diagnosed with TB infection or disease.

CONTINUING EDUCATION INFORMATION

This activity has been planned and implemented by Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, NYU School of Medicine, and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

PHYSICIANS: Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

NURSES: This activity is awarded 6.5 contact hours (60 minute CH).

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Registration priority will be given to applicants from the Greater NYC Area. We reserve the right to close registration early or cancel late registrants due to limits on seating capacity.

There is no fee for this conference. However, if you register and are unable to attend, please inform us as soon as possible so that others may be accommodated.

DIRECTIONS

The conference will be held at Farkas Auditorium, NYU Langone Medical Center which is located at 550 First Avenue, New York, NY 10016. Go into the main entrance of NYU Langone Medical Center. Once inside, turn right then at the first opportunity turn left and walk through the breezeway through the double doors. Farkas Auditorium is just past the double doors on the right hand side.
